National Field Hockey Festival USA Field Hockey's National Festival is the largest amateur
field hockey tournament in the world drawing over 3,500 players
from around the world. This year there are 152 U19 girls’ teams including the HB Wave. Although this is
our first year, many of our players have Festival experience. Our pool includes teams from New York, Kentucky, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and California.
Fields
The Festival will be held on 18 lighted fields located at the Reach 11 Sports
Complex in North Phoenix at 2425 East Deer Valley Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85050.
College Recruiting
The
Festival attracts over 100 college coaches and is an excellent opportunity for our players. The National
Field Hockey Coaches Association recruiting events include a Recruiting Seminar and Senior Night at the Crowne
Plaza Phoenix. Senior Night is only open to graduating high school seniors and college coaches. Parents
are not allowed to attend and it is a unique opportunity for players to meet one on one with many Division I, II, and III coaches. Players are encouraged to especially visit with the Division III coaches. Although Division
III colleges
do not provide athletic scholarships, many of these schools have other financial aid options available for qualified student-athletes.
The small college experience which typically offers smaller class sizes, easier access to professors and friendly hands-on
environments should not be overlooked by student-athletes.
We believe there is a roster spot available somewhere for every serious player. Players
are encouraged to contact college coaches, usually by email, several weeks in advance of the Festival and provide
them your student-athlete resume, your playing schedule and highlight video if available.
As of November 1, USA Field Hockey does not have Senior Night Information Posted.
For the 2010 National Festival the Festival Recruiting Seminar & Senior Night was held at Crowne Plaza Phoenix.
Recruiting Seminar on Friday, from 7-9 pm. Senior Night on Saturday, from 7-9 pm.
